N2 - This article describes an experience of building an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) for the Technological University of the Andes, which was entrusted to its graduate students. The objective is determined the suitability of the university curriculum in the formation of competences for the software development industry evaluating the most important areas of knowledge of the SWEBOK guide (Software Engineering Body of Knowledge), for this purpose it will evaluate competences as a triad of elements (conceptual, procedural and attitudinal competences) from the perspective of the graduate student after the execution of the project and from the manager's point of view. The resulting product of this experience, the Enterprise Resource Planning, has been working steadily for ten years, providing consistent information, immediate availability of information, improvement in service and customer care, permanent flow of information between administrative areas, achieving satisfaction and improvement in staff productivity and reduction of errors, crystallizing in an indispensable component in university administrative management.
