Resumen
The objective is to analyze the social representations of nature conservation by the rural population of the buffer zone in the Reserva Nacional del Titicaca; under the assumption that the reflections and actions of environmental care are based on the benefits of conserving nature channeled from the Andean cosmovision. The approach is mixed, survey and interview techniques were used. It is concluded that the conceptions, cultural practices and social organization are aimed at the harmonious interaction between man and nature.
